Wrong Turn!

Don’t Count Me Out!

Have you ever been told that you are going through what you are going through because you must have done something wrong? Or something happened that you didn’t want to happen because you are not walking the right path in life? I bet many of us have heard and even thought this to be true. We have to realize that sometimes it is “Not That Deep”. Sometimes it is just the path and process that we must go through to reach the destiny God has for us! Sometimes when things happen that we don’t want or expect to happen, it throws us off and makes us and others question what we are doing. In Acts 28, when Paul was bit by the snake, everyone assumed that Paul was a murderer or was someone who does evil! But the snake just needed to come out the heat as the scripture says and God didn’t allow the snake to harm Paul! We must be careful not to be so quick to judge ourselves or others. Yes sometimes God serves a strong hand when we outright do wrong, but not everything that is not expected is a punishment!

Everyone has their own test and trials and paths to go down. Our process may be different but God’s love for us is the same! You ever stop to think that sometimes we were meant to make mistakes to be taught a lesson? Something I heard from Pastor Steven Furtick this morning that stuck with me was “Sometimes God’s favor is waiting for us in the very place that our mistake landed us! Your true heart will show and God will show you favor despite your mistakes and failures. Don’t think that just because you make mistakes and have some failures in life that God can’t use you! We all are going to make mistakes and make Wrong Turns on our path but always remember to align your heart with God and he will be right by your side every step of the way despite what others may think about you.

Consider your wrong turns, lessons for you to learn from to gain the wisdom that God is imparting in you as your draw closer to him. Your wrong turn could be a lesson for someone else to see how God works! Remember that religion sets rules but Jesus sets us free! We can’t be focused on manmade rules of religion, we must focus on our relationship with God. This will help us learn the ways of God instead of what man thinks is right or wrong. Studying God’s Word which is our instruction guide, and building a genuine relationship with him will bring you the peace of God when the world has counted you out!

Your Wrong Turn may bring you Right Favor! Don’t use this as an excuse to do wrong because God can see your heart but just know that He will never leave you nor forsake you because you made a mistake. Keep traveling on your path to God and going through the process that was specifically designed by God for you!
